She wants to go home, but nobody's home.

Under My Skin is probably my favourite album by Avril, even though when it was released, I still had around a year and a month left to be born, haha. - I like this CD because, well, first, My Happy Ending is on it. And that has always been my favourite Avril song. I really want to make a cover of it too! However, I also love the whole aesthetic it has, I think it's much darker than Let Go and all of the albums she released later. I think Nobody's Home is perfect to describe the whole concept of the album, that's why I decided to make my own version.

Growing up with separated parents meant that I had to go from house to house every week. And to other kids, the idea seems fun: you have more presents on Christmas and you have two rooms! But to me, this whole thing made me forget to call my houses my "home". Sometimes, they feel like, just places that I stay in, nothing more.

I've always been shy and introverted, it seems like I was born with a curse that makes it difficult to make friends, and it has got worse lately. When you don't have anyone to be with at school, when you can't text a friend about something that makes you feel excited, when you cry listening to music because music is your only friend.

Nobody's Home.
